Futures for Somerset has an outstanding track record of successful CIF applications with over £40m secured for our clients in recent funding rounds.
We have great knowledge and experience of how to develop successful applications. We also know how difficult and time-consuming this can be for individual schools, academies and Business Managers. At Futures for Somerset we take responsibility for putting together the applications, leaving academies to concentrate on their core activities.
The core priority for CIF is to address significant condition need, keeping academy and sixth-form college buildings safe and in good working order. This includes funding projects to address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition.
CIF also supports a small proportion of expansion projects. These are for Ofsted-rated good or outstanding academies and sixth-form colleges that need to expand their existing facilities and/or floor space. For full details and information for applicants please visit the GOV.UK website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/condition-improvement-fund
Most importantly, Futures for Somerset can deliver this without Schools and Academies needing to go through a formal tender process as the Strategic Partnering Agreement we have in place with Somerset County Council allows Schools and Academies access to these pre-procured (and OJEU compliant) services, saving you time, effort and money.
Limited Application Timescale
The 2020-2021 CIF funding round is due to open in October Half Term 2019, to then close again around mid December 2019. This very short application window means that it is time-critical that all preliminary surveys, permissions and supporting evidence are carried out and compiled well in advance of this short application period.
Don’t delay because time does go by very quickly so please contact us now to get ahead of this years CIF round.
