LABC Building Excellence Awards
The LABC South West Building Excellence Awards took place at the Crowne Plaza Plymouth on Friday 24 May 2019. The annual event had over 350 guests come through the doors representing companies across the construction industry.
The LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards showcase buildings and design teams that have faced challenges such as complex technical or construction issues and building site constraints. The awards also call attention to innovative, smart and creative solutions that have been implemented in building projects in the South West.
We are really pleased to announce that Kingfisher Primary School in Yeovil was a Finalist in the “Best Educational Building” Category for building excellence in the delivery of outstanding construction and workmanship.
Kingfisher Primary School build was completed in June 2018 by BAM Construction. The new school consists of 14 classrooms to accommodate 420 students aged 4 to 11 years old, with additional Reception and Early Years facilities and school production kitchen. Futures for Somerset worked with BAM Construction and NVB Architects to provide a turnkey Design and Build solution for the Local Authority.
Futures for Somerset provided a range of services into this project. Delivering an end-to-end service, we provided Feasibility, Project Management, Procurement and Employer’s Agent Services. In addition, we also assisted the Local Authority with the management of off-site works and land transactions.
